It is the opening of the communication with external life which makes man wider.

He does not say of his friend: ‘This is my friend, I love him’,
but he says: ‘This is myself, I love him’.
That is the time when he can say that he has arrived at the realization of love.
As long as he says: ‘I feel sympathy with him because he is my friend’, his sympathy has not yet fully awakened.
The real awakening of his sympathy is on that day when he sees his friend and says ‘this is myself’. Then the sympathy is awakened, then there is the communication within one’s self.

Just by agreeing with my thoughts you will not become my contemporary. You will be contemporaneous to my thoughts, that’s all – but not to me. And I am not a thought but an experience.

the ego

The test for us learning to go beyond the ego state is whether any of our ‘buttons’ are being pushed. If they are then there, right ‘there’ is the learning. We should hug people who rattle our cages, they are our teachers. That is where intense ‘self inquiry’ comes in. Our world and all in it are ‘us’, aspects of ‘us’. Our job is to understand all this. Then our consciousness can expand into All that Is.

“Quote”

Quote Ego could be defined as whatever covers up basic goodness. From an experiential point of view, what is ego covering up? It’s covering up our experience of just being here, just fully being where we are, so that we can relate with the immediacy of our experience. Egolessness is a state of mind that has complete confidence in the sacredness of the world. It is unconditional well being, unconditional joy that includes all the different qualities of our experience.

It takes everything I’ve got to pull my cheek muscles into some semblance of a smile.
To feel like one just got off an all-night flight to Europe, missed my eight hours of sleep,
and landed in a time zone where daylight shines and one must participate.

……. she repeats, like my appearance is the equivalent of standing on a tabletop and yodeling
in the library …… thought we’d integrate (sorry immigrate) ….. is life purely based on a need to
know basis? I would hate to even have that thought cross my mind ….. rise to involution or evolutions highest potential …. and yet we sublime …..

Thus, our determination to pursue the spiritual path day-to-day and moment-to-moment is a direct manifestation of our openness to and connection …. He knows!
